Merchant

Baltic Sea Plogging Association

The association's purpose is to clean the Baltic Sea and change people's environmental behavior through concrete actions. Simultaneously, it promotes people's well-being and encourages outdoor activities. The ultimate goal is to foster broader discussions about the environment, particularly the state of the Baltic Sea.

Customer

The customer agrees to adhere to these and any merchant-specific terms when purchasing products and services through online services.

Ordering

General Terms

Upon reserving a cleaning kayak, you will receive detailed instructions via email. It is crucial to follow these instructions. Pay particular attention to the weather forecast and postpone the cleaning trip if the weather is too windy. If the weather conditions are unsafe, there is no need to notify us of the cancellation.

Reservation Terms

These terms apply to products and services that are rented and reserved. Collectively, these are referred to as "items."

  • The customer is responsible for reviewing the description and instructions of the reserved item(s) and the terms related to the reservation.

  • The customer's reservation is binding once the order/payment confirmation has been sent to the customer's provided email address.

  • The customer pays for the reservation according to the selected payment method, following its terms and conditions.

  • The reservation system sends the order/payment confirmation to the customer's provided email address.

  • The merchant is not responsible for a failed reservation, and the customer should promptly contact the merchant to rectify the situation.

  • The merchant does not guarantee that the item will still be available in such a situation.

  • If the item is not available, the payment will be refunded, or an alternative item will be offered if possible.

Cancellations and Changes

  • The cancellation date is the day the merchant receives the cancellation notice.

  • The customer is responsible for sending the cancellation in a timely manner.

  • If the customer cancels the reservation,

  • If weather conditions affect safety, the service is canceled.

Merchant's Right to Cancel a Reservation

  • In the event of a force majeure, the merchant can terminate the rental agreement. Termination will be promptly communicated to the customer who rented the item.

  • In such cases, the customer is entitled to a full refund of the paid rental fee.

  • Any costs incurred by the customer due to the termination of the rental agreement because of a force majeure event will not be compensated.

Compensation

  • The customer is liable for any damage they cause to the item. The renter is also responsible for any damage caused by other people visiting the item during the reservation period.

  • The merchant does not compensate for any inconvenience or costs that may arise for the customer due to natural conditions, such as insects, animals, weather-related issues, or unexpected weather changes.

Complaints

  • Any complaints must be made as soon as possible after the issue arises.

  • If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached or if it involves a claim for compensation, the complaint must be submitted in writing within one month of the end of the rental period.

  • The merchant aims to process the complaint as quickly as possible, but no later than within one month.

  • If the customer and merchant cannot reach an agreement, the customer can refer the dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board.

Payment Terms

  • The merchant uses reliable and secure payment intermediaries for its services.

  • The merchant does not store bank or credit card information at any stage.

  • The customer agrees to comply with the terms of the selected payment method.

Payment by Invoice

  • The invoice must be paid by the due date indicated on the invoice.

  • Late payments are always subject to late fees. If the invoice is paid after the due date with the original invoice and late fees have already accrued, the fees will be invoiced separately.

  • If the payment transaction is not successfully completed at the time of order, the merchant will not process the order.
