The 2025 season’s innovation, the Espoo Baltic Sea rowboat, offers the opportunity to go trash fishing deeper than just the surface. The Espoo Baltic Sea rowboat is equipped with a fishing magnet suitable for collecting metal debris, a net, and litter pickers. Reserve your rowboat below and head out to hunt trash treasures on the sea!

What’s it all about?

The Espoo Baltic Sea rowboat, made possible by the City of Espoo, is located in Keilaniemi and has been modified for Baltic Sea cleanup. The boat includes all the necessary cleaning and rowing equipment. The boat holds 3 people.

What do I need to bring?

You’ll need weather-appropriate clothing and a water bottle. On sunny days, bring a hat and sunscreen.

What’s available at the Espoo Baltic Sea rowboat station?

From the equipment box on the dock:
- Instructions
- Life vests
- Scale (for weighing trash) 

In the rowboat:
- Oars
- Balde
- Net bag
- Litter pickers
- Cleaning magnets
- Trash bags
- Waterproof phone pouch

What else should I note?

Once you reserve the Baltic Sea rowboat, you’ll receive a confirmation email with separate instructions. Detailed guidance is sent 24 hours before your booking. It is important to follow these instructions.

Please especially check the weather forecast, and postpone your trip if it’s too windy. If conditions are unsafe, cancellation is not required.

Please note: Espoo Baltic Sea rowboat bookings are binding and cannot be canceled.
By booking the Espoo Baltic Sea rowboat, you commit to weighing, sorting, and reporting your catch. You also agree to return the boat and equipment in clean condition and clean the boat after use (detailed instructions in the confirmation email).

The minimum age for booking the rowboat is 18. Under 18s may row with an adult. All participants must be able to swim.
